This study surveyed 34 instructors to analyze the current status of AI ethics education in Korean universities and to explore ways to improve it. The findings indicate that AI ethics education in Korean universities is mainly offered as elective and liberal arts courses in undergraduate programs and is predominantly lecture-based. In addition, while instructors positively assessed the achievement of AI ethics education goals, they also faced challenges such as lack of educational materials, limited social interest, and a shortage of full-time faculty. Accordingly, this study highlights the need to expand educational materials, increase social interest, recruit more full-time faculty, and promote interdisciplinary education to improve AI ethics education. |
