<Abstract>

Artificial intelligence, which has come along with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, has become an opportunity to demand a new reflection not only in industry but also in humanities research that has continued to explore human beings. In this context, the Big history, which is different from the existing history research which has played an important role in humanities for a long time, attracts attention. In this article, I will try to provide a comprehensive understanding of information from the viewpoint of Peirce 's semiotics and critically examine the historical research method called big history from this information point of view. And in the study of history, the meaning of artificial intelligence and how to utilize artificial intelligence technology are sought.
