<Abstract>
This article purposes to examine the present situation of Digital History conducted by Korean historians, point out its limitation and suggest an alternative. Recently there has been a growing interest in Digital History, which uses digital technologies for research, among Korean historians. However, they focus on mostly database and visualization, while a few conduct qualitative research with data. This methodology has limitation, which use just data for research. The drawback could overcome a new methodology, Computational History, in particular, ABM(Agent-Based Modeling) simulation. Historical events or facts have very complicated connections between various factors, which is not possible to explain with a linear relationship between just a few elements. ABM simulation can assume several factors as conditions and manipulate them, which demonstrates many different processes of the historical event and its results, depending on combinations of conditions. This makes it possible to explain and understand historical events or facts in a wider range of aspects.
