<Abstract>
If natural science studies about reality, Humanities reflect on the meaning of human existence. Of all life forms on Earth, only mankind asks about the meaning of existence. while animals, unlike humans, live in a given nature, humans are animals that hang on the network of meanings created by their culture. Storytelling is a unique way of humans to create the meaning of their existence and to create a network of meaning. Humans understand the world through stories, while being conscious of the group identity of who we are and making a life orientation about how to live. Humanities have been born for the purpose of making stories about the meaning of human existence based on the characteristic of Homo Narrans .
With the birth of AI, a serious question about human identity has been raised. It is now considered as a matter of time for machines to emerge that can do calculations as well as make thoughts and judgments better than humans. Indeed, the emergence of such AI is raising concerns about the possibility that human species will perish. Faced with this civilization crisis, Humanities must ask three big questions: “Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?” History is a story that explores and investigates what happened in the past to answer these three questions of Humanities.
A history narrative that tells stories that can answer these three questions of Humanities in the era of AI is called “Big History”. Big History starts from the Big Bang when the universe was created, and it covers all stories about all things in the universe. In order for today s historians to be able to write a Big History, it is necessary to break down the wall of the discipline and turn it into history as liberal arts. With the advent of the era of AI, a die is cast to determine the fate of human species. The Big History of exploring
“ Hisoria, Quo Vadis ” at the crossroads of human civilization is an archetype of history as liberal arts.
